HRM Outside Workers Reject Latest Offer
Halifax Regional Municipality’s outside workers have voted 90 per cent in favour of rejecting HRM’s latest offer.
Despite the threat of a lockout, the CUPE members say they are still hopeful they can negotiate an agreement before there’s a service disruption.
The unit’s 300 members include labourers, gardeners, utility workers, traffic sign and marking technicians, painters, building tradespeople and plant operators including arena, rink, and pool.
