Surfrider’s Halifax Ocean Week – Scavenger Hunt Waterfront Cleanup

Surfrider Foundation Canada‘s Atlantic Chapter is hosting an interactive harbourfront cleanup, featuring a scavenger hunt where participants will locate and record their findings of common items such as cigarette butts and plastic waste. Participants will gain increased awareness of waste reaching our harbour and coastlines and receive information about our organization, including our monthly cleanups and our campaigns. GGPAC presents The 2026 Maritime Doggie EXPO!! On Saturday , June 13th from 10am-4pm, come on down to the Greenfoot Energy Centre to experience over 100 exhibit spaces. Participants include dog rescues, dog food and treat companies, pet gear and accessory makers, dog art & photography, training and activities, groomers, dog day cares, vet hospitals, pet stores, and more! Admission is $5, with anyone under 12 years old entering free of charge.  Everybody (especially including dogs!) is welcome.

2026 Annual Kite Festival

July 11 @ 10:00 am - July 12 @ 8:00 pm

Come on down to Citadel Hill on July 11th and 12th from 10am - 8pm to see the most spectacular display of kites! Dozens of handmade, inflatable kites will take flight overhead (including some dragons, teddy bears, and octopuses!), as well as bouncy castles, a dedicated kids' zone, and local vendors will be available on site. This event is FREE for all ages, so come on out and show your support!
