RCMP Respond To 10 Collisions On Hwy 102

RCMP responded to a series of collisions on Highway 102 this afternoon.

Just before 1 p.m, East Hants RCMP responded to a single-vehicle crash, between exits 9 and 10.

While first responders were on scene assisting the driver, a car driven by an 83-year-old man struck an emergency fire vehicle and then rear-ended a second vehicle.

It’s not believed anyone was seriously injured.

Over the course of the next few hours, police say seven other vehicles collided as a result of the traffic congestion and driver inattention.

The collisions remain under investigation.
