Philpott payback

Federal Health Minister Jane Philpott will reimburse taxpayers for using a pricey limousine service owned by a big Liberal supporter in Toronto.

Phillpott issued a statement last night apologizing for what she called excessive costs related to her work travel billed to the limousine service.
She said it doesn’t live up to the standard Canadians expect and she’s taken steps to ensure it doesn’t occur again. She will be repaying $3,700 to taxpayers and her department will be reviewing travel booked to and from the Toronto airport.
