Deadline Day for Objections to Clear Cut Near Keji Park
A number of environmentalists are voicing concerns over a proposal to clear cut a large forested area near Nova Scotia’s Kejimkujik National Park. The almost 134 hectares near Lake Loon is located next to a known habitat for the endangered Blanding’s turtle. It’s also close to a Keji camping site. Today is the last deadline for public comments on the proposal that would see the harvesting of the former Bowater land in Queens County.
