Sobeys dropping appeal of discrimination ruling

Sobeys will be dropping its appeal of a human rights decision that found an employee at its Tantallon store discriminated against a black customer.  The Human Rights Commission ruled the store discriminated against Andrella David in 2009, after falsely accusing her of being a repeat shoplifter.

The African United Baptist Association of Nova Scotia, which represents 19 churches in the province, wants an apology to David and to the black community in general.
