Criticism over prescription monitoring

Conservative Health critic Chris d’Entremont says Health Minister Leo Glavine has broken his promise to fix the prescription monitoring program. A Global report said the government recently extended its self-imposed deadline to next March.

The Auditor General’s report in April said the government hasn’t fixed gaps that prevent abuse or misuse, and the Health Department was ineffective in reviewing prescriber reports.
