Man ignores orders to stay away from children

A man convicted of sexual offences against children has been arrested for attending a children’s charity event in Halifax.

37 year old Shane Willam MacDonald worked as a volunteer at the annual Children’s Wish Princess Tea Party in May.  The event is a fundrasier for the Childrens Wish Foundation and was attended by hundreds of children.

MacDonald was convicted of sexually assaulting a 4 year old boy in Truro in 2009 and failed to disclose that fact to the company he was representing at the fundraiser. MacDonald is now serving a 60 day sentence on weekends for breaching conditions of his release.
