On the diamonds…Josh Donaldson had three home runs as the Blue Jays beat the Twins 9-6 sweeping a weekend series. The Red Sox slid to two games behind in the American League East with a 10-4 loss to the Royals.  The Yankees were shut down 5-0 by Baltimore. Orioles are three back of the Jays.

In the CFL…the Stampeders down the Ti-Cats 30-24.
The Patriots got by the Panthers 19-17 in NFL pre-season play.
