In the CFL…the Redblacks beat the Alouettes 19-14 in Montreal.  Patriots lost 17-9 to the Giants in NFL Pre-season action.

It was a light night in baseball with the Jays, Red Sox, Orioles and Yankees all off. Toronto still has a two game lead over Boston heading into a weekend series against the Rays.
