Windsor fire

The former Edgehill School for Girls in Windsor went up in flames yesterday.

Now an apartment building, all the residents escaped unhurt. There are about 70 residents who are now being helped out by the Red Cross and the Legion. A few pets were rescued by fire fighters but others may have been lost.

Fire crews were pouring water onto the building into this morning. There’s some indication the fire was caused by a lightning strike which caused a loud bang and sent debris flying.
