Voyeurism Charges Dropped Against Halifax Art Professor
Charges have been dropped against a Halifax art professor who was accused of filming women using the washroom in his art gallery. 49-year-old Gene Daniels was already sentenced for one count of voyeurism stemming from an incident in July of 2014 when he invited one of his female students to his Cunard Street Gallery. Court heard the woman discovered she was being filmed while using his washroom. Daniels was facing 14 additional charges involving 14 other women but those charges have now been dropped after the crown determined they didn’t have a realistic chance of conviction.
