Ship building on schedule

Irving Shipbuilding President Kevin McCoy says he knows the federal government is watching closely as his company builds Canada’s first Arctic offshore patrol ship. McCoy says Irving’s work on these ships is probably being seen as a warmup for the building of the warships. That contract hasn’t been finalized.

He told a defence industry conference in Halifax that despite some initial setbacks they still plan to deliver the first Arctic Patrol Ship in 2018.
