Dartmouth native dies performing in California

A Dartmouth-born motorcycle stunt rider has died in a crash while performing in California.

CBC reports 49 year old Paul Smith was killed last week when he didn’t complete a back flip. Smith, well know in Nova Scotia motocross circles, left to perform in the U-S in 2004.,

Smith’s death sent shock waves through the motocross community, so friends in Nova Scotia are gathering this week for a small memorial.
