New NS police complaints commissioner appointed

A new police complaints commissioner for Nova Scotia has been appointed. Judith McPhee is a retired lawyer with more than 38 years of
experience in government, and was given the Queen’s counsel designation in 2011. She’s held senior roles at the Department of Justice for the last 20 years. The Office of Police Complaints investigates complaints against municipal police, and provides support to the Police Review Board.
