Bomb threat closes shopping centre

Two men overheard on a bus talking about a bomb resulted in police closing down the Village at Bayer’s Road yesterday afternoon.

The shopping centre was closed at 2:30 and sniffer dogs were brought in but found nothing. The all clear was given around 6:30 and stores reopened…but the blood collection centre downstairs remained closed and will reopen today.
