Man Arrested for DUI and Fleeing Scene after Fatal Lunenberg County Accident

One man is dead and another is facing charges after a car accident in Lunenberg County on Friday afternoon. RCMP say a 25-year-old man from Caladonia died when his truck went off the road on highway 208 in Simpson’s corner around 4pm. Police say an investigation revealed a second vehicle was involved that had left the scene. Shortly after 7pm last night the 34-year-old driver of the second vehicle was arrested in Pleasant River, Queens County for Impaired Driving, Failing to Remain at the Scene, and Dangerous Driving. He will appear in Lunenburg Provincial Court at a later date.
