Premier on carbon tax

Premier Stephen McNeil isn’t saying how his government would react if Ottawa imposes a carbon tax or cap-and-trade system.

McNeil says his government is looking for recognition of steps already taken to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. He says the province is on track to beat its 2020 goal of cutting emissions to at least 10% less than 1990 levels.
