Alton gas protestors shifting focus

An organizer of the Alton gas protests says the Mi’kmaq participants have shifted their attention away from the entrance to the project site in Fort Ellis.

Cheryl Maloney says they will focus their protests now on setting up eel traps and other fishing methods in the Shuebenacadie. Maloney also said it’s time to show this protest isn’t just about Mi’kmaw rights but includes conservationists and area residents.
