Salmon saving project on Eastern Shore

The province will be dropping lime on trees along the West River in Sheet Harbour to try to reduce acidity.

It’s part of a three year project to reduce the effects of acid rain and restore wild salmon and trout populations. The $1.1 million project will cover a 60 hectare area.
