CAT numbers

Bay Ferries says its high-speed CAT carried more than 35,000 passengers between Yarmouth and Portland in its inaugural season.

That’s a little more than half what the government projected at 60,000.  Still, Transportation Minister Geoff MacLellan believes Bay Ferries has brought stability to the taxpayer funded service.
