Fall session of Legislature opens

Lt.-Gov. J.J. Grant opened the Legislature’s fall session today with the Speech from the Throne.  The McNeil Government says it will expand school breakfast programs, launch a down payment assistance program for first-time home buyers, and remove the General Education Diploma testing fee for adult learners.  More classroom-specialist funding and affordable housing were also among points highlighted.
