Valley fire

An elderly man was forced out of his home by a fire in Middleton yesterday afternoon.

Apparently a heating pad ignited furniture causing minor fire damage but significant smoke inside the bungalow on Main Street. A man, in his 70s, was taken to hospital and checked out for smoke inhalation then released. The Red cross is helping with emergency lodging and supplies.
