Election – Interesting races

Some other interesting races in the province…with Wolfville probably topping the list. Voters elected five women to the six council seats.

Mayor Jeff Cantwell returns unopposed. Incumbents Mercedes Brian, Wendy Donovan were also unopposed…and newcomers include Wendy Elliot, Jodi MacKay and Oonagh Proudfoot. Carl Oldham, was also returned unopposed.

One former provincial MLA and cabinet minister has been repaced by another as Mayor of Lunenburgh. Don Downe decided not to run for a third term as mayor and has been replaced by Carolyn Bolivar-Getson.
