Another bench against domestic violence

Dozens of people turned out to mark the opening of a purple bench at Shubie Park yesterday. It’s to commemorate the victims of domestic violence. 51 women have been killed in the province in domestic cases since 1990.

Community Services Minister Joanne Bernard was at the ribbon cutting and said she’ll have an announcement this week about more funding for women dealing with domestic violence.
