Power outages

The Halifax Shopping Centre and the Central Library were closed yesterday because of power outages.

Nova Scotia Power says about 4,000 customers lost electricity in Peninsular Halifax. The last to get their lights back were in the area of the shopping centre.

No word what caused the blackout but earlier NSP was warning about the high winds knocking down power lines.
