Retired cop charged with assault

A retired Halifax police officer has been charged with assault in the Annapolis Valley.

52 year old Stewart Travis is accused of incidents with his stepdaughter in April and wife in May in Bridgetown. He hadn’t retired at that point. SIRT was brought in to investigate and laid the charges. Travis is due in court in Annapolis Royal November 24th.
