Tidal turbine testing decision

A Supreme Court justice has turned down an application by the Bay of Fundy Inshore Fishermen’s Association to stop testing tidal turbines in Minas Passage. The group wanted a stay of any testing until a full judicial review is released in February into the Environment Department’s approval of the project.

Justice Jamie Campbell ruled the Association has not shown the risk of irreparable harm would happen before that judicial review takes place.
