NHL action…Six wins in a row for the Canadiens who beat the Lightning 3-1.  Leafs downed the Panthers 3-2 for their second win of the season.  Jets handled the Stars 4-1.

In the NFL’s thursday nighter…Tennessee beat Jacksonville 36-22.
