Teacher’s Union Building

The Nova Scotia Teachers Union building in Halifax was evacuated Friday morning due to an electrical burn on the third floor.
Halifax Regional Municipality spokesman Brendan Elliott said fire crews responded to the building at 3106 Joseph Howe Dr. after dispatch received a call at 9:32 a.m.
“The building was evacuated due to a haze and the smell and we’re still trying to figure out what the cause is,” said Elliott.
No injuries were reported.
