Backup cameras will be mandatory

All new cars and small trucks in Canada will have to have backup cameras by May of 2018.

Transport Canada says this brings Canadian standards in line with those in the United States. Transport Minister Marc Garneau says it’s the best safety technology to reduce back-over accidents.
