Council to consider guns-for-bus-passes proposal
Regional Council will consider a proposal to have guns traded in for bus passes. That’s on tomorrow’s agenda, proposed in the wake of gun violence in the city back in the spring. The report says the program would run from next Monday until the 23rd and Halifax Transit is on board. Guns would be turned in to police without charges, unless they’re connected to a crime.
