Hep A in two daycare centres

Two childcare centres are trying to prevent the spread of hepatitis A as the school year starts.

The Health Authority has confirmed a cluster of hepatitis A cases at Kids & Company in Hammonds Plains and Grace Note Child Care Centre in Halifax. The Medical Officer of Health says they are trying to identify potential additional cases in children, families and staff. They haven’t found the source of the outbreak.
