Burning ban back in effect

The burn ban is back in effect in most of the central mainland because of the continuing dry conditions.

The full ban is in effect in Halifax, Lunenburg, Queens, Annapolis, Kings, Hants, Colchester, Cumberland, Guysborough and Pictou Counties. Burning restrictions are also in effect in Yarmouth and Digby as well as all of Cape Breton and Antigonish Counties allowing wood burning and campfires only between 7:00pm and 8:00am.

Fire crews jumped on a brush fire near Port Mouton quickly yesterday. It burned about 2 hectares.
