Water conservation in Dartmouth and area

Despite today’s rain, mandatory water conservation measures are in effect in Dartmouth, Cole Harbour, Westphall, North Preston and Eastern Passage.  Halifax Water says Lake Major has dropped to historically low levels prompting the conservation measures.

People must not water their lawns and gardens, fill their pools or use water for any other outside jobs at home, such as washing cars. Commercial car washes will remain open for now.
