Treaty Day at Province House

First Nations and other protesters were at Province House yesterday during Treaty Day celebrations.

Cheryl Maloney says the government has not upheld its treaty obligations by allowing the Alton gas storage project.

Mi’kmaq Grand Keptin Antle Andrew Denny told the crowd that corporations are threatening rivers and lakes that have sustained the Mi’kmaq for centuries.
