Students being taught Mi’kmaq Honour Song

For the first time, all Nova Scotian elementary schoolers are learning the Mi’kmaq Honour Song.  In celebration, a Drum Day performance took place at Truro Elementary yesterday.  Education and Early Childhood Minister Karen Casey says traditional hand drums are being made available to all elementary school music rooms in support of treaty education.
