Some people  with Lyme Disease are frustrated because of a lack of awareness about the disease.

554 year old Donna Lugar of Halifax was eventually diagnosed in 2011 after years of symptoms, saying problems with diagnoses and treatment need addressing.

Canada’s chief public health officer, Dr. Gregory Taylor, agrees, saying patients should not be feeling neglected by the system. The government is developing a new plan for the prevention, identification and treatment of Lyme disease.
