Cunard will unveil the remastered Queen Mary 2 in the home of its founder Sir Samuel Cunard in Halifax tomorrow following an extensive refit costing in the region of $132 million. The renovation includes new staterooms, its first staterooms for solo passengers, expanded kennels, new dining venues and public spaces, and 594,000 square-feet of new carpet. The newly-renovated ship takes its art deco design inspiration from the original Queen Mary, which launched into service 80 years ago.
