Celebrate Wetlands Appreciation Week at Duck Day on Saturday, August 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Shubenacadie Wildlife Park! This free, family-friendly event is packed with hands-on activities celebrating wetlands, wildlife, and conservation. Visitors can try critter dipping to discover aquatic biodiversity, build a nest box, join guided nature walks, explore educational exhibits, and enjoy interactive activities throughout the park. Community organizations will also be on site with fun displays and opportunities to learn more about protecting Nova Scotia’s natural environment.

The event takes place rain or shine, with Sunday, August 16 reserved as the alternate date in the event of thunderstorms or severe weather.
