1st Dartmouth Scouting Group is celebrating its 100th anniversary with a dinner on Sunday, October 1 at 5:30 pm at 181 Portland Street in Dartmouth. Anyone associated with 1st Dartmouth over the years is welcome to attend. Presenters will share their memories of scouting at 1st Dartmouth and scouting memorabilia will be on display. DJ Ace will be performing Sunday, October 8 from 9 PM - 2 AM at Menz & Mollyz Bar, located at 2182 Gottingen St, Halifax. He is graciously volunteering his time to support the fund-raising efforts of Kyrae Carvery, so that she can attend the UCA National Cheerleading Championships in Florida this March. The Home and School Association of Pentz Elementary School will be holding their annual Bazaar to raise money for such things as Science and Technology projects, class outings, class resources and other items to enhance children's education. In the past, thanks to the support of the community, the school has raised over $6000. This year, the Bazaar has been tentatively scheduled for October 14, 2017 and they are asking for your help.
