New Tanya Tucker album

Tanya Tucker is releasing her first new studio album in 17 years, and one of the tracks is a cover of Miranda Lambert's most important career song. Tucker is set to release While I'm Livin' on Aug. 23 via Fantasy Records. It's her first release under the new deal, and her first all-new release since Tanya in 2002. Among the 10 new tracks is Tucker's cover of "The House That Built Me," which gave Lambert her first No. 1 hit.

78th Highlanders Freedom of the City of Halifax Parade

This time honoured tradition dates as far back as the Roman Empire, and was originally granted to military units that had gained the trust of a municipality. These units were permitted to parade through the town with “drums beating, colours flying and bayonets fixed.” The 78th Highlanders begin their parade at the Halifax Citadel…

Touchdown Atlantic

Montreal Alouettes and Toronto Argonauts  (Touchdown Atlantic game) on August 25 @ 1 p.m. at Stade Croix-Bleue Medavie Stadium, located on the grounds of Université de Moncton. Overnight bridge closure
