Traffic advisory There will be occasional full bridge closures on the Macdonald Bridge July 2019. These closures do not impact the sidewalk and bike lane, both of which will be open. The start of the 2019 Tour (known as the Grand Départ) will be in Brussels in honour of the 50th anniversary of the first Tour de France win of Eddy Merckx. It will be the second time the Grand Depart will take place in Brussels and will be the fifth Belgian Grand Depart.

The Nationals will throw it back to 1969 and recognize their Canadian heritage when they host the Kansas City Royals at Nationals Park on July 6.
