The 2019 Atlantic hurricane season is an ongoing event in the annual formation of tropical cyclones in the Northern Hemisphere. The season will officially begin on June 1, 2019, and end on November 30, 2019.

There's a closure scheduled for the Macdonald Bridge this weekend. The span will be shut down to all traffic from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 1 while crews pave the road deck, sidewalk and bike lanes. The bike lane and sidewalk will also be closed. A shuttle will carry pedestrians and cyclists between 40 Faulkner Drive in Dartmouth and near North St. and Gottingen St. in Halifax.
