Closures for the Macdonald Bridge

August 6, 2019 - August 10, 2019

 

The following are the scheduled closures for the Macdonald Bridge to replace an approach span bearing and an expansion joint on the Dartmouth side of the bridge.

  • 7:00pm to 5:30am Tuesday Aug 06 – bike lane will be closed. Cyclists will be directed to use the sidewalk
  • 7:00pm to 5:30am Wednesday Aug 07 – sidewalk will be closed. Walkers will be directed to use the bike lane
  • 7:00pm to 5:30am Thursday Aug 08. FULL bridge closure including sidewalk and bike lane. Shuttle service provided*
  • 7:00pm Friday, August 9 to 9pm Saturday, August 10. FULL bridge closure. Sidewalk and bike lane will be open.

All four lanes on the MacKay Bridge will be open during these closures.
