HMCS FREDERICTON RETURNS
Today marks the first day the crew of HMCS Fredericton will step off the ship since losing six service members in a tragic Cyclone helicopter crash in April. The Halifax-class frigate is to return home to Halifax after a six-month deployment overseas for Operation Reassurance, a NATO training mission. But the COVID-19 pandemic prevents family members and friends from welcoming the crew of more than 200 service members in person at the Halifax dockyard.

NATAL DAY
Natal Day is a public holiday in Nova Scotia, where it is a day off for the general population, and schools and most businesses are closed. The Halifax-Dartmouth Natal Day events were cancelled last summer. The Natal Day committee looks forward to hosting the annual event in 2021 and celebrating over 125 years of Natal Day.

The Grammar Closet Sale will be hosted today at the Atlantic School of Theology Proceeds will be donated to Laing House and all unsold clothing to Phoenix House. Also a donation will be made to altruism at Halifax Grammar School to support future students in their efforts to impact change and make a difference.
